Evangelism Days

Our student groups across the country recently held an Evangelism Day -a special time dedicated to reflecting more deeply and practically on how we share our faith in our daily lives.

The meetings brought together students from various universities who participated in practical workshops and discussions focused on real-life situations: how to talk about our faith in different contexts, how to approach conversations with classmates and friends, and how to use various tools to reach those around us.

Plovdiv: The Word and Personal Example

In Plovdiv, we began with time in the Word, examining Jesus’ example in sharing the Good News and the people He reached out to. Afterward, Silas led a discussion on different worldviews, and finally, Nikola took over the practical session where we talked about sharing our personal testimonies and navigating such conversations. It was incredibly encouraging, especially for those with no prior experience in evangelism.

"I really enjoyed it and felt encouraged. I loved how we did a detailed study of the chapter we read, as well as learning how people see the world through the prism of different ideologies." - Teodora
"It was useful for me that an atmosphere was created where even some of the more reserved students managed to open up and share personal things. The topic was relevant, and everyone participated actively. Since the material was already familiar to me, it served as a great reinforcement." - Nikola
"I found the different worldviews and their significance very helpful. Another thing that encouraged me was hearing the testimonies of others." - Daniela

Varna: Answering Tough Questions

In Varna, students went through four workshops related to personal testimony, leading deep conversations, and answering difficult questions. Each module included theoretical preparation and practical tasks aimed at explaining the Gospel more clearly. This resulted in intriguing conversations in an informal setting. Now, the students are planning a series of events to invite their friends and colleagues.

Sofia: Unity and Preparation

In Sofia, Bulgarian and international students gathered for an in-depth Bible study of Acts chapters 2 and 3. This served as the foundation for the subsequent workshops, where they practiced sharing their testimonies and exchanged ideas on how to evangelize in different environments. For "homework," everyone had to choose a friend to pray for and share the Good News with.

Veliko Tarnovo: Lessons and Practice

The day in Veliko Tarnovo was filled with lessons, laughter, and encouragement! We started with a lecture by Nikolay Malinov titled "How to Share My Testimony?". A few days later, he gave a personal example by sharing his story in front of students.

This was followed by an interactive apologetics discussion with role-playing (Christian, atheist, etc.), through which students learned how to steer any conversation toward the Gospel, regardless of the person's worldview. Galina Spahijska prepared us for leading Bible studies with non-believers, highlighting "red flags" to avoid (like Christian jargon) and "green flags" to strive for. Finally, Eliza Dyakova led a discussion on the practical application of everything we learned. Thank you, Lizzy!
