"Barnabas" Conference
The final conference for the BCSU Leadership Programme - " Barnabas" was held in Sofia from 26 to 28 May.
This year three students graduated from the program after monthly meetings with a mentor from the BCSU Team, a series of conference appearances and trainings, and we are happy to note that with God's help this is the fifth generation of Barnabas students to come out of the BCSU ranks.
The event itself was themed "Let us persevere.." on the book of Hebrews and the trainees had the opportunity to step back and reflect on all they have been learning as well as look ahead and plan how they want to continue to grow and follow Christ in ministry. Something new we did together to celebrate their graduation was to take them to the theatre, an experience that brought us even closer together and made us think about the connection between our faith message and the culture we live in. Each of our interns received an evaluation with recommendations for further growth, a certificate, a message from the people they served with and to during the year, and a book to encourage them to continue to learn from Christ. We are grateful for all that God has done in and through them in the BCSU groups in Sofia, Veliko Tarnovo and Varna. We look forward to continuing together!
The application period for the new generation of Barnabas students for the 2023-2024 school year is now closed. We are thrilled that there is such great interest in our internship program and that students want to grow and learn more about how they can serve in God's kingdom.
