Formacion

‘Formación’ is the Spanish word for formation or training. In this case, it refers to the need for Christians to develop as a whole person in every aspect of their life: physically, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually. "... Until Christ be formed in you," (Galatians 4:19) was the theme of this year’s Student leadership Formación, held in Poland from July 30 to August 10. This training event formed leaders through a wide range and variety of activities: teamwork exercises, mentoring, community service (for the benefit of the local community), biblical expositions, seminars, discussion groups and outdoor activities. This year Bulgaria sent two delegates.

Here is what Desi, one of the delegates, had to say: "During the two weeks, I had the opportunity to see how God is working around the world, to build friendships with people from distant countries, to receive a lot of encouragement, to hear great testimonies, to deal head on with many of my fears, and to receive answers to many of my questions. Every single day was filled with new challenges that helped me learn who I am, who God is, what He has given me and how he wants to use me for His glory. I learned how much power there is in my personal testimony, even though I was raised in a Christian family. I realized how important the little things in life are and how God desires to teach me through daily experiences. I started to ponder the talents which God has given to me and those around me. I returned to Bulgaria with great wealth that can not be measured materially but, thanks to God, has given me the opportunity to be one step closer to Him."
